Funny Story
So, I needed to find an Excel reader … .
Since I had deleted Microsoft Office from my CPU to free up space. Pitiful right? Anyways, I go sniffing around the web and I fall on this message board with some Joe Schmo asking the same thing! Turns out there are a ton of options, open office, Excel reader, yada yada, well it turns out that Google Documents can also do what I need to do. Well,...

The Great Thing About Twitter . . .
via Slashfilm
is that when there is buzz for films or stars of certain films, it can be felt with much more magnitude then back in the old days, since the movers and shakers of what’s going on are literally right there in front of your face. You would have to be an inchworm to miss a semi truck like this. Anyways, I usually would have to wait until TIFF to find out what the late season...

Aw Shucks!
For some reason there is a delay in Derby scoring so it might be a while till I get to write about the results last weekend.
Of note, from what I remember, The September Issue blew past my expectations with a 36K PTA! I only had it pegged at 10K. This should also be a documentary run to watch. It could expand and grossed 10M.
Anyways, a difficult weekend is ahead. A 4 day Labor Day holiday....

Tumbalarity doesn’t like people who create original content. At all. Oh well. Fuck it.

ActorCast Online Open Call →
I don’t fit the bill, but if there are any that want to submit to an online open call for a film in MI, click the link.
Saw a Documentary Last Night
Called “Boy Interrupted” on HBO VOD. If there was an award for most depressing film ever, this one would win, hands down.
I tried to watch Babylon A.D. Last Night
It was so bad I had to turn it off. That’s the worst review you can get from me.

Another Scene from Inglourious Basterds
Lt. Aldo Raine: I need to know about Germans hiding in trees. And you need to tell me right now.
Sgt. Werner Rachtman: I respectfully refuse, sir.
Lt. Aldo Raine: Actually, Werner, we're all tickled to hear you say that. Quite frankly, watching Donny beat Nazis to death is the closest we ever get to going to the movies.

Avenue Q on Broadway →
Just saw the documentary “Show Business” last night. It reminds me of how much I wanted to see Avenue Q when it was in Michigan. Now it’s closing on Broadway in September! Hopefully, they got it on DVD somewhere!

It also reminds me how much I miss theatre! :(

X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Review by Paul Edwards
Last summer, Marvel opened the season with the box office and critical hit, Iron Man. It enjoyed a long box office run that ended past the $300 million mark. This year, Marvel is teaming with Fox to try and replicate that runaway success. Both films star talented lead actors; Hugh Jackman, who hosted the Oscars this year and Robert Downey Jr. who reclaimed his image with...
