Quick Blow by Blow Review of Inglourious Basterds

-Be forewarned, I’m a Tarantino fanboy

-Don’t be fooled by the ads, even though there is plenty of Nazi buttkicking, it is more akin to Kill Bill vol 2 + Pulp Fiction, rather then Rambo.

-Just because it is not an actionpacked actionfest doe snot mean that it is not entertaining or will not hold your attention!

-Brad Pitt played Lt. Aldo Raine to a tee. It was the accent that did it. It had comedy and kickassiness all in the same breath.

-It had one of the most simplest yet most fulfilling concepts in years. I mean I’d love to kick some Nazi ass.

-Tarantino has such control over the story and he is able to twist the viewer away from expectations. Every time the plot seemed to be going one way, there is another trick and it changes. What a master of his craft. By not giving the audience what is expected, a fuller and stronger connections to character gets developed and also a stronger story gets developed.

-Got one of the best endings ever. Especially because it’s true.

-“King Kong” was a great scene as well.

-I was surprised by Eli Roth. Didn’t know what he had in store in front of the camera and he came out shining while sharing scenes with the scene-chewing Aldo Raine.

-Christoph Waltz and Melanie Laurent are another group of standouts.

-SEE. THIS. FILM. NOW!
