Harry Potter Blow by Blow Film Review

via goremasternews.files.wordpress.com

-After staying away from the Potter cultist for so long, I finally decided to go ahead and give it a go on Netflix.

-I actually ended really enjoying myself. It was full of magic and adventure. For the most part, child actors remind me of The Room or Troll 2 but this was not the case here.

-So, this summer, I decided that I am finally going to see Potter in a theater! For real this time.

-For transparancy reasons I should probably divulge I saw it, after seeing the new Avatar footage. It could have clouded my judgement, or it might not have.

-Anyways, it began much differently then the rest of the series. I got so used to the train and the luggage and smiling faces, that the cockblock by Dumbledore was a real downer.

-However, this change was also a good thing because finally it seemed that Potter and his little crew are growing up, albeit a bit forcefully. It seemed as though he wanted to act like an adult and be in mature situations but was still way to young to know how to handle it.

-This change also lost some of the innocent magic the kids had back in prior films. Instead of being full of life, they were more akin to talking statues. And every scene ended up looking like the most epic scene ever, ever and every moment was some life altering event.

-I’ll try and show you:
There is a whole lot of this in Half Blood Price.

As also seen in Terminator Salvation:

They took the life out of the scenes by turning the kids into statues rather then allowing things to happen naturally.

-It could have used at least 1/2 hour of cuts. Anytime, something cool happened, we had to wait an hour for the scene to complete and it totally lost it’s effect on me as a viewer. I mean the most pivotal scene in the film got ruined with that. And Considering not much else of note happens other then that one big scene near the end, this edition to the saga seems more like filler rather then killer.
